Episode 82: Other People’s Podcasts #1

Ep 82

This week James and I decided to talk about some other podcasts that you may not have heard of.  Michigan’s Divided By Zero and Australia’s The Half Scoop.  Both are very funny shows that make it apparent that viable entertainment is available in abundance.  If you don’t agree, at the end of the episode I give some advice on how to start a podcast of your very own.  To have your podcast discussed by us in a future episode, just follow us on Twitter and we’ll get to you.  This episode is brought to you by P****i, and by FeCola.

Episode 81: Not Really Bible Appropriate

Ep 81

This past weekend James’ son was visiting the grandparents, so I drug all of the recording gear over there to stink up the place.  Since the only success of episode 80 was the discovery that our call-in box worked, we decided to call our good friend Steve during Jon Feist writes.  The result is long, but quite funny.  We also talk about dropping things in the toilet, mustard and parmesan, perfume, playing it cool, the fact that Superman is from Kansas, a couple of weird old terms, and much more.  This episode is brought to you by Cavey Eddie’s Crazy Caves.

Episode 80: The Episode That Never Should Have Been

Ep 80

As you may have guessed from the title, we were a little off our game this night.  Jon told James no less than three wildly different ideas for this episode none of which did he prepare for.  After the fact, Jon’s only excuses are that he’s not high, he’s been dissed by AM talk show hosts, and he’s crammed into James’s basement.  This episode was gonna be all about The Venture Bros and Arrested Development, but thankfully turned into readings from James’ 6th and 9th grade journals.  Thanks for sticking with us.  81 is recorded, it’s better, and it’ll be out soon.

Episode 79: Little Jon Draper

Ep 79

This is a crazy episode folks as I (Jon) decided to get drunk during it.  The result is annoyingly funny and high spirited.  The topics this week include (but are by no means limited to) getting mistaken for a heroine addict, twin beds, recycling, gay scout fallout, weed tips, inner monologues, and much more.  This episode also features Jon and James discussing the origins of the Illuminice, and an extra long Jon Feist Writes.  It’s Only As Real (As You Want It To Be) is by James (channeling Jim Morrison).  This episode is brought to you by Frank Pizza’s Toolbox:  The Bakery.

Episode 78: Fuck You Hollywood

Ep 78

Just a quick warning, I spoil Star Trek Into Darkness.  Probably not a big deal at this point, but fair warning.  Welcome to a very special episode of Sorry, Kansas.  This week we spend the whole episode talking about the current state of Hollywood and some of it’s most celebrated as well as it’s under-appreciated directors.  Of course we get off topic a bit, but for the most part we stay on point.
